Mechanical Engineer 3

As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you will be responsible for designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical, thermo-mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems. Your role will involve feasibility studies, testing, and detailed design & development. You will own and execute medium-complex Mechanical sub-system projects to design, develop, optimize, and implement design solutions in Lam Products. These projects will be driven as part of NPD, Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP), cost reduction, and/or reliability improvement initiatives. - Design and define cutting-edge mechanical, thermo-mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems - Conduct feasibility studies, testing, and detailed design & development - Own and execute medium-complex Mechanical sub-system projects - Collaborate with internal and external Cross Functional Teams (CFT) to ensure product design meets objectives - Develop and present reports/presentations of excellent quality - Perform analytical work to characterize and specify designs, including heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics, and manufacturability - Design and develop thermo-mechanical components with an understanding of fluid flow characteristics - Identify technical risks, conduct design reviews, and seek approval in collaboration with stakeholders to implement design - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for presenting design concepts effectively The ideal candidate for this role will have: - A Bachelors's or Masters's degree in Mechanical Engineering - 4-8 years of relevant experience - Hands-on experience in taking designs from concepts to detailed engineering - Knowledge and exposure to relevant industry standards such as ANSI, ASME, SAE, ISO, and SEMI will be preferred,
