Mechanical design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CATIA V5/V6.

• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in compliance with design standards and GD&T practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, procurement) to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

• Perform design reviews, tolerance analysis, and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) assessments.

• Manage design changes, revisions, and documentation within PLM/PDM systems.

• Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.

• Identify opportunities for design optimization, weight reduction, and performance improvement.

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, or related engineering field.

• 2-5+ years of experience in product or mechanical design (depending on level).

• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6 (Part Design, Assembly Design, Surface Modeling, Drafting).

• Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and material properties.

• Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA, Teamcenter).

• Experience with manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, sheet metal, etc.).

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
