Description
As a Design Engineer at Schaeffler, you will be a part of the Mechanical and Electro-mechanical Centre of competence Department for 2-Wheeler & Powersport products in Pune, India. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams such as design, production, system, suppliers, quality, and customers. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design & develop products for new generation ECUs and throttle body, and conduct value engineering activities in existing products. - Analyze product issues from validation/field and provide robust solutions. - Prepare design drawings and manage change management activities in the design. - Collaborate with cross-discipline teams and drive change management activities. - Integrate and validate systems/products/technologies. - Support quality management through feasibility and risk analysis, FMEA, FTA. - Participate in defect analysis and manage missing content upon customer delivery. - Define DFMEA and DVVP. - Handle postproduction issues and travel to customer sites, plants, and supplier units as required. - Proficiency in change management tool is preferable. **Your qualifications:** - 2 to 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer, automotive sector experience is a plus. - Minimum graduate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. - Experience with engine systems, air modules, and ECUs. - Knowledge of design validation, product validation, product application, DFM is advantageous. - Proficient in 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation using Creo. - Flexibility to work in a cross-discipline environment and interact with production team. - Ability to comprehend system requirements and define the product. - Advanced level of English proficiency. - Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and experience with international teams. - Autonomy in managing work. **Additional Company Details:** Schaeffler is a dynamic global technology company with a focus on innovation and employee development.
