Mechanical Design Engineer

Design & Development

• Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies using Creo with appropriate GD&T.
• Translate product requirements and specifications into robust design concepts and detailed engineering solutions.
• Support design reviews, incorporate feedback, and iterate designs to meet performance, cost, and quality targets.

Product Data Management

• Manage models, drawings, BOMs, and change history in Windchill PLM, ensuring data accuracy and revision control.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, including engineering change requests and design release packages.

Manufacturing Interface (Basic Level)

• Apply basic Design for Manufacturing principles considering key processes such as plastics, sheet metal, machining, and casting.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to understand process constraints and incorporate them into designs at a high level.

Analysis & Engineering Fundamentals

• Perform basic hand calculations and first-principles checks (stresses, fits, deflections) to support design decisions.
• Coordinate with analysis/CAE teams by providing clean geometry, load cases, and constraints, and implement recommendations in the design.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with project, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and accurate design deliverables.
• Communicate design intent clearly through drawings, documentation, and presentations, and participate actively in technical discussions.
