Key Responsibilities:
- Sheet metal design; Placement of electrical components (Packaging); Cooling systems; Design for a cleanroom environment
- Hands on experience in routing in cable and hardness.
- Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of difficult mechanical problems w.r.t AC Racks/ System Racks, Electronic Racks with limited supervision
- Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test reports with limited supervision
- Develop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scope
- Lead the mechanical design of AC power distribution units
- Create detailed drawings, define fabrication processes, materials, and finish standards with comprehensive GD&T, and perform complex tolerance analyses.
- Plan and execute experiments to validate designs.
- Perform engineering analysis under general supervision
- Perform and document engineering tests under general supervision
Functional Knowledge
- Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities
- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
- Experience in CAD software; experience with INVENTOR
- Understanding of CAE software for structural, and thermal analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant UL and NEMA safety standards.
- Expertise in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with fast-paced projects requiring innovative thinking.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 7 - 10 years of proven experience in designing mechanical components for electrical systems, particularly Control panels
