Mechanical Design Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create metal enclosure/concrete shelter designs to meet project requirements.
• Generate Drawings & Models using AutoCAD 2D & Inventor.
• Enclosure Designs, both sheet metal/Concrete cabinets, must meet certain specifications regarding manufacturability (DFM), Assembly and Heat dissipation.
• Implement NFPA 855, 68 and 69 (National Fire Protection Association), UL 9540, Motorola R56 requirements into the designs of the enclosure/Shelters/Skids to meet standards.
• Prepare and review part fabrication details and assembly drawings, bill of materials and design layouts based on engineering specifications in both 2D and 3D models and drawings.
• Uses engineering, drafting skills and manufacturing experience to design and detail steel structures and concrete shelters.
• Create manufacturing drawings involving detailed part drawings, sub-assemblies and assembly drawings

• Perform Quality Checks as per the standards

• Ensure that the project deliverables are met as per the schedule with commitment

Positional requirements Qualification-

• B.Tech/B.E/ in Mechanical Engineering

Experience-

• Minimum 1 year experience in designing/sheet metal enclosures/Concrete shelters/.
• Understand DFM principles and implement them in the design of enclosures.
• Good understanding of Strength of materials for basic strength calculations.
• Knowledge in the design of HVAC, ventilating enclosures, and heat transfer.
• Knowledge of Battery-operated Energy storage systems
• Perform Basic CFD analysis to meet temperature targets and heat dissipation requirements.
• Understanding of NFPA 68 and 69 regulatory requirements.
• Drafting and detailing experience in

  Mechanical design and manufacturing experience

  . Should have minimum 3 years of experience with good proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks

• Should have a good understanding of General Engineeringand Manufacturing feasibility
• Knowledge of Safety and Fire protection and associated codes.
• Should have good expertise in creating manufacturing drawings.
