Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Analyze medical images:
Interpret diagnostic images such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds to identify abnormalities.
Collaborate with other physicians:
Work closely with referring physicians, surgeons, and other specialists to provide diagnostic insights and support treatment plans.
Perform image-guided procedures:
Conduct minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance, such as biopsies or draining abscesses.
Write diagnostic reports:
Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, which are sent to the referring physician.
Ensure patient safety:
Implement safety protocols, minimize radiation exposure, and ensure proper use of contrast materials.

Consult with patients and their families to explain imaging results.
Supervise and train radiologic technologists and other staff.
Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in imaging technology and medicine.
Help develop and implement imaging protocols for quality control.
