Maths Subject Matter Expert

We are looking for passionate and detail-oriented Mathematics content writers/curriculum planners who will be interested in creating engaging textbook chapters, lesson plans and other quality resources that ensure an effective teaching & learning experience in the classroom environment.

The individuals should also have an understanding and be aware of how digital technology has reshaped education. Further a reasonable adeptness with the usual Microsoft programs (doc, ppt, excel etc.) is expected.

Role and Responsibilities:

Creating engaging & learning-effective mathematics textbook chapters, lesson plans and associated resources for grades 1 to 10.

- For the above:

1.Researching, & collating benchmarks for concept-flow within chapters across well-known curriculums.

2. Conceptualizing & defining achievable and productive learning objectives for each chapter.

3. Using effective and relevant teaching methodologies to ensure the learning outcomes above.

4. Ensuring that the chapter is well-rounded in terms of Including interdisciplinary questions and activities.

5. Creating lesson-plans in line with the chapters that ensures an interactive classroom environment and aims at the holistic development of the learners.
Note: The responsibilities may also include auditing &/or undertaking actual classes to gain on-ground insights relevant for chapter-writing.

Education:

Either the candidates should have a Masters degree in Mathematics and a B.Ed. degree from a reputed University.

Or

The candidate should be any graduate with exemplary scores(90+/100) in Mathematics & good scores (80+/100) in English in Xth & XIIth standard.

Experience:

Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience in teaching/curriculum planning.

Teaching experience of a minimum 3 years as a secondary school teacher will be an added advantage.

Technical skill set:

Should have excellent subject knowledge of Mathematics, especially school-level fundamentals.

Should have working knowledge of Blooms Taxonomy.

Should have working knowledge of using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Proven understanding/skills:

Should have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Should have the ability to create and source engaging content for students.

Should enjoy working in a team and across teams.

Should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively manage the workload.
