Material Planner

As a Material and Production Planner, your role involves tracking manufacturing progress, machine planning, and managing raw material and consumables to prevent production stoppages. You will be responsible for optimizing resources, including scheduling material and machine resources to fulfill production demand efficiently. Your key responsibilities include: - Managing the MPS (master production schedule) and preparing production schedules for sites, which are then cascaded down as production schedules for each workshop. - Ensuring customer on-time delivery is achieved by executing work smoothly according to schedules and adapting them as needed in response to contingencies and external factors. - Adjusting the MPS to ensure workload/capacity matching and proposing actions at production units to enhance flexibility and handle temporary overloads effectively. - Matching workload/capacity for critical resources, both internal (HR, critical machinery, and equipment) and external, to ensure operational efficiency. - Analyzing demand hypotheses and their impacts on capacity adjustments to make informed decisions on applying appropriate levels of hypothesis. - Planning and managing inventory levels to ensure raw materials and components are available as per requirements. - Collaborating closely with suppliers and procurement teams to avoid overstocking or stockouts. - Providing PPC support functions for various departments such as Production, Process, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Logistics, Purchase, Lab, Facility, etc. In terms of system proficiency, you should be familiar with ERP-SAP (PP & MM), Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI will be considered an added advantage. Your qualifications should include a B.Tech degree with 4-5 years of experience in areas such as Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirement Planning, Demand and Supply Management, Inventory Management, and Stakeholder Management.,
