Job Description

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Expeditor to manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of fabricated, machined, and foundry materials. The ideal candidate will coordinate with suppliers, track job progress, conduct quality checks, and oversee dispatch and logistics. Key Responsibilities: Purchase Order Management: Review and interpret purchase orders (POs). Ensure supplier acknowledgment and confirmation of delivery timelines. Expedite materials related to fabrication, machining, and foundry operations. Supplier Coordination: Maintain constant communication with suppliers to monitor progress. Material Tracking & Monitoring: Perform regular follow-ups to ensure delivery schedule adherence. Inspection & Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections using QC instruments to ensure job meets specifications. Identify and report any non-conformance issues. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination: Plan dispatch schedules and oversee movement of finished goods. Coordinate with transport/logistics teams to ensure timely delivery. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records including job progress, inspection, and dispatch details. Share regular updates with project managers. Required Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering Experience in expediting and quality control in fabrication/machining/foundry environments Good understanding of manufacturing processes and vendor handling Desired Skills: Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining, and foundry workflows Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Proficiency in ERP systems and material tracking tools Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities
