Material Control Specialist

As a Material Coordinator, your role involves various key responsibilities: - Ordering materials through Purchase Orders by calculating requirements based on the production plan, current stock levels, safety stock, standard inventory, and lead time. - Managing Purchase Orders by ensuring timely delivery and reconciling aging POs. - Coordinating custom clearance and container plant arrivals with internal stakeholders. - Managing stock levels by adhering to the FIFO (First In, First Out) method and conducting inventory reconciliation. - Handling claim management for rejections and after-sales failures. - Ordering materials for new projects and monitoring their arrival schedules according to timelines. - Analyzing production versus Goods Receipts/Goods Issues during month-end closing. - Demonstrating expertise in reading and understanding Bills of Materials (BOM). - Analyzing consumption data from the system (BOM) and comparing it with physical usage. - Ordering parts for job-work and managing materials effectively. - Managing Engineering Order (EO) changes and controlling material orders for Backflush/Out. - Utilizing hands-on experience in SAP and escalating priority issues promptly. - Having knowledge of different types of feeding systems such as Just-In-Time (JIT) and Just-In-Sequence (JIS).
