As a Material Buyer, where you'll play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain. In this position, you will manage purchasing activities, demand planning, and supplier collaboration for both 1st and 2nd tier suppliers. You'll ensure seamless order management, logistics, and delivery, tackling exceptions and escalations head-on. Your contributions will directly support our mission to innovate and enhance connectivity worldwide. Bring your strategic thinking and negotiation skills to help us deliver exceptional products and services while creating new opportunities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Ensure inbound material availability against the demand on oHub's with optimized logistics total landed cost.
- Execute orders and forecasts for internal and external suppliers .
- Execute DCD orders based on SO for internal and external suppliers.
- 1st level of material shortage/lead time management.
- Manage inventories (e.g. stock level review, E&O management and reporting) .
- Purchasing master data management and maintenance.
- Operative 1st level supplier management (e.g. supplier collaboration including KPI monitoring and capacity utilization follow-up).
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Execution of inbound logistics models based on the agreed roadmap.
- Manage exceptions (e.g. invoice clarification, returns, quality claims, blocked stock, etc.).
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- Require bachelor's degree with related field.
- Typically, minimum 45 years of relevant buyer experience of direct materials.
- Experience with Power BI and Data Analytics as value-added skills.
- Effective communication skills for explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in leadership roles, such as Team Leader or Project Leader.
