Material Analyst

As a Polymer Specialist at TVS Motor Company, your main responsibility will be to serve as a polymer material expert and play a vital role in selecting the appropriate materials and processes for components of 2W & 3W vehicles, including both ICE & Electric variants. Your tasks will involve collaborating on new technology projects related to polymers, composites, and paints, engaging with suppliers and research institutes to explore innovative ideas. - Conduct polymer parts testing and clearance using various material characterization techniques such as FTIR, DSC, TGA, XRD, SEM/EDS, as well as mechanical testing for all new products. - Coordinate with design teams to gather exact material requirements to ensure the first-time right quality of developed parts and prepare reports for new product development and failure analysis. - Work on enhancing the aesthetics of vehicles through the retained newness of polymer painted and unpainted parts. - Establish polymer material and process standards and generate cost reduction ideas. - Demonstrate a strong understanding of polymer materials, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of manufacturing processes. - Educational qualifications in B.Tech/M.Tech Materials Engineering or Polymer Science. - Expertise in product knowledge, product engineering & development, automotive fundamentals, and polymer material knowledge. - Basic communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with a team, exhibit interpersonal effectiveness, and showcase personal leadership.
