Job Description: Marketing Research and Data Analyst

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marketing Research and Data Analyst to support

our marketing efforts through data analysis and research. The ideal candidate will have strong

analytical abilities, a deep understanding of market trends, and a keen eye for translating data

into actionable insights that drive strategic marketing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough research on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor

activities.

  • Analyze industry data to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to provide insights that inform

marketing strategies.

Data Reporting & Visualization:

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on market performance, customer segmentation,

and campaign effectiveness.

  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings in a clear,

concise manner.

  • Develop dashboards and tracking tools to monitor key marketing metrics and KPIs.

Campaign & Performance Analysis:

  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of ongoing marketing campaigns, providing

actionable insights for optimization.

  • Conduct post-campaign performance analysis to evaluate ROI and identify areas for

improvement.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to adjust strategies based on data findings.

Customer Segmentation & Profiling:

  • Segment customer data to identify target audiences and personalize marketing efforts.
  • Utilize CRM systems and other tools to analyze customer behaviors, preferences, and

purchasing patterns.

Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor competitor activities and analyze their marketing strategies, pricing models, and

customer engagement.

  • Prepare competitive intelligence reports to help shape marketing strategies and

positioning.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product) to align research

insights with business goals.

  • Assist in identifying and implementing new research methodologies and tools to

enhance data collection and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, market research, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power

BI).

  • Strong understanding of marketing metrics, customer segmentation, and marketing

analytics.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present data findings effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and market research platforms.
  • Knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, or R.
  • Experience in the B2B or B2C marketing space.
