Marker Fitter – Metal Fabrication

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Marker Fitter with an ITI certification in Metal Fabrication or a related trade. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately marking layout lines and reference points on metal surfaces according to engineering drawings. This role is essential for ensuring precision in cutting, drilling, and assembling fabricated metal structures, contributing to high-quality production and fabrication outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and read fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to determine layout requirements.
• Accurately mark layout lines, reference points, and indicators on raw metal materials using tools such as scribers, punches, and chalks.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on metal plates, pipes, and sections according to job specifications.
• Collaborate with fitters, welders, and CNC operators to ensure precision and alignment in production processes.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy while minimizing material wastage.
• Select and mark appropriate templates, fixtures, and gauges for fabrication tasks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and promptly report hazards, defects, or irregularities to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• ITI Certificate in Fitter, Metal Fabrication, Mechanical, or a related trade.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Marker Fitter in the metal fabrication or heavy engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with measurement tools such as vernier calipers, measuring tapes, scribers, punches, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches accurately.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and keen attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to work safely in a workshop or factory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sheet metal layout, heavy fabrication, or structural steel marking.
• Familiarity with fabrication shop practices and welding symbols.
• Basic understanding of CNC cutting processes and coordination with machine shop operations.

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹264,000.00 per year
