Marine Biologist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Marine Biologist to support our laboratory

operations. The candidate will be responsible for conducting zooplankton, phytoplankton,

benthic, diversity, fish, and all other biological and marine-related parameter analyses,

as well as preparing detailed biological reports for offshore and coastal monitoring projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct zooplankton, phytoplankton, benthic, fish, and other marine biological sample analysis.
• Perform biodiversity assessments and species identification.
• Carry out all biological and marine parameter testing as required for projects.
• Prepare comprehensive biological, ecological, and environmental monitoring reports.
• Perform field sampling for offshore and coastal monitoring assignments.
• Maintain sample logs, field data sheets, and laboratory records.
• Ensure adherence to standard analytical methods (APHA/ISO/NABL where applicable).
• Maintain laboratory instruments and perform routine calibration and quality checks.
• Coordinate sampling schedules and project timelines with internal teams.

Required Qualifications:

• M.Sc./B.Sc. in Marine Biology, Zoology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in marine biological analysis (freshers with strong knowledge may also apply).
• Strong understanding of plankton analysis, benthic taxonomy, fish identification, and marine ecology.
• Experience with microscopy and biological sample preparation.
• Ability to prepare technical reports independently.
• Willingness to travel for offshore and coastal field assignments.

• Knowledge of marine biodiversity, ecology, and laboratory procedures.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
