Role Overview: Varex Imaging is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Braze and Furnace Specialist to join their team in Pune. As the Braze and Furnace Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the work area meets cleanliness and safety standards, assembling parts as per product-specific instructions, monitoring and disposing of various chemical mixtures, cleaning and preparing parts for X-ray assemblies, and performing vacuum brazing, hydrogen firing, and outgassing of parts and components used in the manufacture of X-ray tubes. Additionally, you will be expected to conduct acceptance tests, record test data, perform daily maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, train new operators, manage projects, and document work according to company standards and industry regulations. You will work autonomously on day-to-day tasks with general instructions on new assignments. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure work area meets established cleanliness and safety standards. - Gather parts and fixtures, and assemble as per product-specific work instructions. - Mix, heat, monitor, and dispose various chemical mixtures. - Clean and prepare parts used on X-ray assemblies. - Familiarity with metal plating and chemical processes. - Perform vacuum brazing, hydrogen firing, and outgassing of parts and components. - Conduct acceptance tests and record test data per GMP. - Perform daily maintenance and basic equipment troubleshooting. - Train new operators on braze and furnace process. - Manage projects of moderate scope. - Organize and conduct meetings. - Document work/deliverables according to company standards and industry regulations. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in metallurgy or chemistry (or equivalent experience) with 5 years of related experience, or a master's degree in metallurgy or chemistry with 3 years of related experience.
