We are hiring for the role of Costing Engineer Role & Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems Analyze manufacturing processes to determine cost optimization opportunities Evaluate vendor quotations and perform cost comparison & benchmarking Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to collect data on materials, labor, and other resources Develop and maintain costing databases and costing models for accurate analysis Assist in pricing decisions for new RFQs and tenders Track actual vs. estimated costs and investigate any variances Support finance and sales teams with technical cost insights during bidding and negotiations Preferred Candidate Profile: Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience: 3 to 6 years in cost estimation or costing roles within engineering or manufacturing industries Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost modeling Familiarity with engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes Good knowledge of costing tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc. preferred) Strong communication and coordination skills

Expertise knowledge in cost accounting and understanding of Financial / ERP systems, o SAP expertise especially handling product costing related activities with an ability to handle basic system issues & also support complex scenarios. Support in an accurate and timely way the product costing activities which mainly involves- periodic costing runs, determine & maintain various costing objects such as rates, tariffs, duties, charges etc. as per product costing policy, perform variance analysis, handle error resolution, calculate & monitor mark ups for intercompany delivery etc. Active interaction with ISC functions, R2R experts, Accounting Controllers and FP&A about product costing & related subjects. Support product costing lead in adhoc activities Ensure compliance of various policies related to product costing & adherence to companys accounting policies & treatments.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving project cost analysis, quote generation, and feasibility evaluation for complex CNC/VMC components. Key Responsibilities: Analyze technical drawings, 3D models, and RFQs to evaluate machining and manufacturing feasibility. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimations for CNC, VMC, HMC, and other precision machining operations. Determine material, tooling, process, manpower, and cycle time requirements for each component. Develop and maintain cost models based on historical data, benchmarks, and industry trends. Coordinate with design, production, purchase, and quality teams to validate estimates and optimize costs.
