Job Description

Carelon Global Solutions India is Seeking a QA Engineer.
Reporting to Team Lead, you will help refine and grow the capabilities of current systems, driving continuous improvement to meet our engineering needs.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining new product introduction related health care application systems.
In this role, you will also promote best practices and internal business processes. You will be responsive and able to adapt quickly to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
You will work in a data driven environment, have a desire to drive change, and be excited by the opportunity to analyze systematic issues and implement solutions to challenging problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Understand and analyze software requirements, specifications, and design documents.
Develop, execute, and maintain detailed manual test cases for functional, UI, usability, and regression testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system.
Perform various types of manual testing, including smoke, sanity, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Perform API testing for web services and microservices using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
Validate API functionality, data integrity, and error handling.
Create and execute API test cases based on API documentation and requirements.
Write and execute SQL queries to perform database testing and data validation.
Verify data integrity, consistency, and accuracy in the database.
Assist in identifying and troubleshooting data-related issues.

QUALIFICATION

Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers ).
Bachelor s degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.

EXPERIENCE

Experience as Manual tester
Good Knowledge in Manual/API and SQL testing
Overall IT experience of 3+ years
3+ years experience in Manual/API and SQL testing
Hands-on experience working on Jira, Confluence and Postman

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Basic knowledge in Python scripting would be beneficial
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders
Passion about sharing knowledge and best practice
Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
Needs to be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.
Strong interpersonal / good negotiations skills are required.
