Manual Tester

As a Manual Tester at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Executing manual tests to guarantee software quality, functionality, and performance. - Designing, developing, and maintaining test cases based on functional requirements and business logic. - Identifying and documenting defects in the software and tracking them through resolution. - Performing regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. - Analyzing and documenting test results, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements. - Collaborating with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and resolve issues. - Participating in project planning and sprint meetings to provide test-related input. - Ensuring that testing is completed within project timelines and meets quality standards. - Providing detailed, clear, and concise defect reports and test documentation. - Continuously improving testing methodologies and tools for better quality assurance. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Proven experience as a Manual Tester or in a similar software testing role. - A strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). - Experience in writing and executing test cases, bug tracking, and reporting. - Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA and Bugzilla. - Experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs. - Good knowledge of different testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, integration, etc.). - Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and document issues. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Familiarity with SQL and basic database concepts is a plus. - Knowledge of automated testing tools is a bonus, but not mandatory. Your qualifications should include: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - At least 1 year of experience in manual software testing.
