Manual Tester

As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications. Your responsibilities will include executing detailed manual test cases, reporting defects, and supporting the delivery of high-quality software solutions in a timely manner. You will be tasked with executing test cases/scripts for functional, regression, usability, and integration testing on web and mobile platforms. It will be essential to accurately document test results and log defects with clear reproduction steps in the defect tracking tool. Collaboration with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify testing needs is also a key aspect of this role. Furthermore, you will assist in root cause analysis of critical defects to help expedite resolution, develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business requirements. Ensuring full traceability from business requirements to test cases and test execution results, identifying detailed test data requirements, and preparing necessary data for effective testing will be part of your responsibilities. Participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of Agile teams, adapting quickly to changing priorities, tight timelines, and high-profile projects, and providing inputs to improve QA processes and standards for better testing efficiency and effectiveness are also expected from you. Maintaining documentation of testing activities, results, and defects to support audits and projects will be crucial. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred), with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications. Possession of an ISTQB Foundation Level certification is mandatory. A strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar is a plus. Good communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, self-motivation, detail-orientation, and proactive identification of potential quality issues are also essential qualities for this role.,
