Hiring for Manual Test Engineer- Kochi Experience: 4 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer with 4 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, testing tools, and best practices. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications through rigorous manual testing, identifying bugs, and ensuring that the products meet the highest standards before release. Key Responsibilities: Design, execute, and maintain test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. Perform manual testing across various stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including functional, integration, regression, and acceptance testing. Identify, record, and track bugs and issues found during testing. Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand project requirements and ensure software meets user expectations. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports. Conduct exploratory testing to identify areas for improvement and potential issues. Execute both positive and negative test cases to ensure application robustness. Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to discuss testing progress and issues. Verify bug fixes and assist in re-testing to ensure the resolution of defects. Ensure consistent application of testing best practices, standards, and methodologies. Help improve test coverage and identify areas for test automation in collaboration with automation engineers. Required Skills and Qualifications: 4 years of experience in manual software testing. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, V-Model). Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases, bug reports, and documentation. Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center). Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Knowledge of different types of testing such as functional, regression, UAT, smoke, and performance testing. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and document them thoroughly. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint cycles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
