Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manual QA Tester with over 6+ years of experience in manual testing, functional testing, and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in tools like Postman, JIRA, and SQL, and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to create effective test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform manual testing across web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Design and execute API tests using Postman or similar tools.
• Validate data accuracy using SQL queries for backend testing.
• Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA and follow through to resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Ensure testing is aligned with sprint goals and deliverables.
• Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, test results, and known issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6+ years of experience in Manual QA Testing.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Testing and SDLC/STLC
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Postman, and SQL.
• Solid experience in API Testing and backend validation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and good communication skills.
