About This Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements.
• Conduct thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product features and provide feedback on quality improvements.
• Perform regression testing, usability testing, and acceptance testing.
• Document and track defects using [insert defect tracking tool], communicate findings, and recommend actions to the development team.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to the continuous improvement of the testing process.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of test procedures and test cases.
• Assist in maintaining test environments and preparing test data.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage release cycles.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and quality assurance.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, specifically testing web-based applications.
• 2+ years of experience in automation testing using Selenium or other Java-based automation tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including regression, functional, integration, and system testing.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases and validating back-end data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and solutions for issues.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey test progress, issues, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Exposure to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with JIRA or other bug tracking and project management tools.
