Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies for plastics in alignment with production requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to ensure quality and cost competitiveness.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining supplier relationships.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
Conduct regular market research to track trends, price fluctuations, and new material innovations.
Ensure compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and sustainability initiatives in sourcing practices.
Resolve vendor-related issues such as quality concerns, delivery delays, or discrepancies.
Prepare and present procurement reports, cost analysis, and vendor performance metrics.

Preferred candidate profile

BE/BTech
10-18 years of experience in procurement/purchase, with a strong focus on plastics for automotive applications.
Strong knowledge of plastic resins, molded components, and vendor networks in the region.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
