Manager/Sr Manager 33kV Network and Construction Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with over 12 to 15 years of experience in the wind energy sector, specialising in the design, construction, and commissioning of 33kV electrical networks. The candidate will lead the execution of medium-voltage infrastructure for wind farms, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Management

• Lead the construction of 33kV infrastructure, including Unit substations, Metering Yard underground/overhead transmission line networks, and interconnection points.
• Prepare construction schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct site inspections, FAT/SAT, and ensure timely resolution of construction issues.

Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee testing and commissioning of 33kV systems.
• Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, and handover to operations teams.

Regulatory & Safety Compliance

• Ensure all construction activities comply with local electrical codes, grid regulations, and environmental standards.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols for high-voltage construction sites.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with project developers, EPC contractors, OEMs, and utility companies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in 33kV wind farm construction and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes, IEC standards, and electrical safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management tools and electrical design software.
