Job Description

As a MANAGER, UWS OPS ANALYTICS at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in converting business problems into analytical problems and providing solutions to drive higher business value. Your responsibilities will include: - Guiding a small team to solve analytical problems for multiple businesses and regions - Identifying new business problems or opportunities and resolving complex analytical issues - Managing end-to-end project delivery and providing hands-on support when needed - Offering high-quality analysis and strategic recommendations to address business problems - Collaborating with various business areas to deliver tailored solutions for improved bottom-line results - Leading analytical projects and statistical models from design to presentation of results - Developing forecasting models to enhance accuracy by incorporating historical trends and ongoing model improvements - Establishing quality standards for project timeliness and deliverable accuracy - Ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and business standards Major Challenges you may face in this role include: - Understanding and adapting to the dynamic global business environment to deliver projects effectively - Providing solutions to business problems by leveraging your business knowledge and intuition in the absence of complete information - Making quick decisions based on limited data and applying best-case recommendations In terms of Risk/Internal Controls/Compliance, you will be responsible for: - Continually assessing operational risks and adhering to internal controls and compliance policies - Implementing the Group compliance policy and containing compliance risk in collaboration with compliance officers - Adhering to financial services laws, rules, and codes to ensure regulatory compliance Qualifications required for this role include: - Graduate or Postgraduate degree in quantitative disciplines - 2-5 years of relevant analytical experience in workforce management and operation analytics - Strong programming knowledge of SAS, SQL, R/Python - Proficiency in statistical analysis concepts and applications - Strong planning, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills - Ability to interact confidently with senior management and present information effectively Additional skills that would be beneficial for the role include: - Model monitoring and validation capabilities for machine learning models - Knowledge of forecasting and statistical modeling techniques - Experience with Alteryx, VBA programming, and visualization tools like QlikView, QlikSense, or Tableau By joining HSBC, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to the success of a leading global organization.,
