Manager Traded Risk Assurance

As a Manager - Traded Risk Assurance at HSBC, you will have the opportunity to define and scope the Market Risk Assurance function. Your primary responsibilities will involve promoting synergies and efficiencies to maintain an optimal control environment and challenging first-line control and risk owners to ensure the effectiveness of risk management activities, particularly in Market Risk. Key Responsibilities: - Define and scope the Market Risk Assurance function - Promote synergies and efficiencies for an optimal control environment - Challenge first-line control and risk owners to ensure effective risk management, especially in Market Risk - Provide advice, guidance, and effective challenge to Risk and Control Owners - Monitor compliance with minimum requirements related to Market Risk management - Report on the risk and control profile, including impacts of external environment changes and emerging risks - Collaborate with the business to assess the impact of emerging risks and recommend changes to controls, resources, and operations Qualifications Required: - Hold a CA/MBA in Finance or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Big4 or financial services firm in areas such as internal audit, assurance, or traded risk management - Strong understanding of counterparty credit risk reporting requirements, regulations, and metrics - Practical experience in counterparty credit risk management within a financial institution - Ability to provide independent review and challenge of key counterparty credit risk processes - Skills in building relationships with stakeholders at various levels,
