Manager Software Engineering

As the Manager of Software Engineering at ICIS, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership, direction, and vision to software engineers and development employees, including offshore contractors and interns. You will collaborate closely with development peers, product and project managers, and other in-house software developers to ensure the successful completion and delivery of software components. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and manage large offshore resources to address complex business needs. - Perform performance management, hiring, coaching of staff, and resource planning. - Develop advanced code for computer systems and provide design input across products. - Oversee system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure quality business solutions. - Establish and review technical standards to ensure adherence to architectural processes. - Serve as a key technical point of contact for external technology partners. - Recommend technical strategies and participate in the evolution of architecture. - Interface with stakeholders to find alternative solutions during system outages. **Qualifications Required:** - Proficiency in development languages, with experience in Microsoft .Net and front-end technologies like Angular. - Strong knowledge of database technology, design, and optimization best practices. - Experience in project planning and management tools to manage project progress and scope. - Proven ability to lead test-driven development and maintenance. - Knowledge of software development processes, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies. - Strong organizational, project planning, and time management skills. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills. - Experience with various resource models, including Managed Services and Staff Augmentation.
