Manager, R&D

As a Manager, R&D at Arctic Wolf, you will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of development activities within your teams. This includes ensuring that all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes align with the organization's established policies and objectives. Reporting into a Senior Manager, Director of R&D, or in some cases the VP of R&D, you will collaborate closely with R&D Leadership, Product Management, and the Security Services (S2) to ensure that your teams are developing solutions that meet the needs of customers and users in a timely manner. You may have multiple team and technical leads reporting to you. Key Responsibilities: - Manage team(s) to deliver high-quality, innovative software solutions in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs, and prod support personnel. - Work with the Product Team to define and execute on the 3-month roadmap. - Provide direction, clarity, and remove obstacles to support the team. - Ensure teams are motivated, performing well, and delivering work on time. - Define objectives and goals for each team and work with team members to achieve them. - Develop career development plans and achievable goals for your reports and support their growth. - Drive continuous process improvements and oversee the full software development life cycle. - Ensure teams follow ISMS regulations and execute administrative responsibilities such as managing employee compensation, vacation time, conference, and training budgets. - Lead recruitment efforts for full-time and co-op employees for your team(s).
