Job Description

Dear All,

Manager / Senior Manager Quality Control - International Business

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Standards and Processes:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures, including HACCP, to meet international business requirements.
  • Continuously review and optimise quality control processes and practices to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Formulate and oversee the Quality Control Plan, ensuring alignment with contract specifications and international standards.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Manage quality control activities in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits of supply partners, contractors, subcontractors, RMPM suppliers, etc, reporting any non-conformances and gaps to the management.
  • Oversee vendor qualification processes, including risk assessments and ongoing performance evaluations.

Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all products meet stringent international requirements, including FDA, FSMA, GMP, BRC, ISO, Prop 65, etc.
  • Ensuring all packaging labels meet the importing countries labelling regulations and keep updated about the changing regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain extensive documentation in compliance with international regulations for countries such as the USA, Canada, and Australia.
  • Support international subsidiaries in regulatory submissions, license applications, and quality documentation.

Quality Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Prepare and monitor quality control metrics, reporting discrepancies, potential shortfalls, and non-conforming findings to the President.
  • Coordinate inspections, monitor required tests, and document findings in compliance with the Quality Control Plan.
  • Ensure annual updates and approvals of the Quality Control Plan in accordance with government and international regulations.

Team and Resource Management:

  • Hire competent team members, lead, and develop them, ensuring staff are trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration within the team and with international counterparts.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education:

    B.Tech./M.Tech. in Food or Dairy Technology.
  • Experience:

    15-20 years in Quality Control within the FMCG sector, with substantial exposure to the food or dairy industry at a corporate level.

Skills:

oExpertise in international certifications, legal compliances, and specific geographic requirements such as the USA, Canada, and Australia.

oProficiency in English and strong communication skills.

oStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis.

  • Additional Requirements:

    Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
