Key Responsibilities:

1. Piping Quality Assurance & Control

   :
• Develop, implement, and maintain piping quality control procedures and piping inspection plans to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Review piping ITP's, to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform inspections and oversee piping operations to ensure piping processes are performed correctly and meet specified requirements.
• Piping witnessing of hydro/pneumatic tests.

2. Piping Inspections

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of piping joints and other fabricated components to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Monitor the piping process to ensure it is being performed in accordance with the approved codes.
• Checking P&ID's, GAD's and Isometrics.
• Checking pipe spool drawings.
• Checking mechanical clearance of the piping system.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of piping inspections, tests, and qualifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, corrective actions, and recommendations for improving piping practices.
• Document and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) related to piping defects and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
• Ensure piping inspection records, and other quality documentations are maintained in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.

4. Collaboration and Coordination

• Work closely with piping teams, engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure proper piping techniques are employed and quality standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that piping consumables, equipment, and materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance on piping techniques and issues encountered during the project lifecycle.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to report on piping progress, issues, and resolutions.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Recommend improvements to piping procedures, processes, and equipment to enhance quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
• Stay current with new piping technologies, industry trends, and changes to piping codes and standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs aimed at increasing the overall quality of piping operations.

6. Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• Ensure all piping activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Promote and enforce safety standards during piping activities to minimize risks of accidents, fires, or exposure to hazardous materials.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure that piping procedures and practices meet safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Piping Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA QC Piping Engineer or in a similar role in the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of piping processes, codes (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO, API), and standards for various materials (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminium).
• Proficiency in using piping inspection tools and equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports and documentation.

Desired Skills

• Experience with piping design and procedure qualifications.
• Understanding of piping-related software for inspection management and reporting.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Experience working in offshore, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
