Manager Product Design

As a Manager of Product Design at the fast-growing tech startup in Bangalore, you will lead a team of multidisciplinary designers towards becoming the best design team in the industry. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of product designers, visual designers, visual communication designers, and researchers. - Collaborate with design leads to oversee various design projects, resolve blockers, and ensure deliverables meet business goals, deadlines, and quality standards. - Shape the product direction by participating in ideation, planning, and prioritization of products and features, aligning with organizational goals. - Strategize, prioritize, and drive design-led projects, as well as contribute to extending and building design systems. - Mentor and guide team members, supporting their growth in both soft and hard skills, helping them define career paths, identify opportunities, and elevate their work. - Set high standards for quality and support product teams in maintaining that quality while minimizing impact on velocity. - Drive and enhance the design process by iterating on and improving design processes, introducing best practices, and ensuring design decisions are user-centric and data-driven. - Establish frameworks and guidelines for the team to deliver better and faster results. - Conduct design reviews, status meetings, design sprints, workshops, and brainstorming sessions. - Prioritize research and design improvement opportunities in a rapidly changing environment, and share engineering principles to provide an engineering perspective.
