Manager, Payment Risk and Compliance

Role Overview: As a member of the Risk and Compliance team at Airbnb Capability Center, your role will involve supporting the team in conducting complex investigations, overseeing resources to ensure effective processes, preparing detailed reporting to support decision-making, providing mentorship to team leads, and leading projects to simplify operational problems. You will be responsible for ensuring high performance for internal and partner teams while maintaining control effectiveness and communicating findings to management. Key Responsibilities: - Support the team conducting complex investigations in the Risk and Compliance function. - Ensure high performance for internal and partner teams. - Oversee assigned resources to ensure processes are implemented effectively and in a cost-effective manner. - Prepare detailed reporting to support independent decisions and ensure high performance. - Provide mentorship and guidance to team leads on best practices, workflows, and tools. - Lead procedure and workflow changes that may impact multiple teams and regions with the support of your manager. - Assess and communicate control effectiveness, present findings, case trends, and operational metrics to management. - Lead projects to simplify relatively complex operational problems within diverse cross-functional groups. - Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to teams. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree or Technical Equivalent. - 5+ years of experience in leading and supervising teams of Risk operations. - Strong systems thinker. - Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to clearly articulate Risk and Compliance operations requirements to the audience. - Exceptional organization and process management ability. - Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with SQL and data querying skills is a huge preference.
