Manager Milk Procurement

To ensure the smooth functioning of Procurement & Input and Operations activities of our own and franchise Units and shall directly report to Head P & I, North Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure that the quantity and quality milk procurement is achieved as per the monthly targets as Budgeted.

2. Sub-targets are to be drawn and re-allotted to Unit-wise / Route wise.

3. To review the Budgeted procurement related activity every fortnightly and if any short falls, it has to be fulfilled in the following month.

4. To visit every unit regularly and review route-wise procurement of milk and to ensure the targets are achieved.

5. To ensure the cost control system, under any circumstances per litre shall not exceed the regional average as budgetted.

6. Ensure that all the reports are to be consolidated and submitted regularly to Regional Head P & I as per schedule.

7. Ensure that Milk procurement enhancement programmes like veterinary camps, farmers contact programmes, building relationship with farmers, agents, etc. to be conducted regularly.

8. Enhancement of milk quality particularly SNF and regularly monitoring of input and extension activities.

9. To actively participate and facilitate training, ERP implementation and PMS activities in the area.

10. Responsible for setting up of new Chilling Centres, Mini Chilling Unit and Bulk Cooling Units and smooth operations of the units.

11. Regularly monitor cost involving activities at units and try to regulate the operation cost by utilizing optimum capacity.

12. Good Manufacturing Practices are to be followed and proper hygienic conditions are maintained at the units.

13. Monitor milk dispatches from Chilling Centre / Mini Chilling Unit / Bulk Cooling Units to Packing Stations and ensure that the incharge of plant are reconciled quantity and quality of the dispatches and acknowledgements.

14. Regular preventive maintenance of the machinery has to be addressed and also minimize frequent breakdowns.

15. All the records at the units are to be verified regularly and ensure no deviation has occurred as per the company policy.

16. Annual maintenance contracts are to be enforced effectively and monitored.

17. Ensure all the procurement route distances are verified to avoid future issues.

18. Surprise visits have to be made regularly and the deviations/observations shall be rectified and the same has to be informed to the Regional Head – P&I with copy to Zonal Head (Zone – 2).

19. To ensure regular monitoring of the required inventory for smooth functioning of the plant.

20. Has to evaluate the performance of employees of all plants on quarterly basis.

21. Authorized to sanction leave to the employees by making alternative arrangements.
