Job Description

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Arasanoor (Sivaganga) & Sattur

Department: Garments Division

Reports To: VP Garments Production

*Must have experience in Garments industry

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Management

Develop and implement production plans as per order schedules.
Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and resources.
Coordinate with the Merchandising and Planning teams for smooth execution of orders.

2. Factory Operations

Supervise all production lines and ensure line balancing.
Monitor production KPIs: efficiency, output, rejection rate, downtime, etc.
Address bottlenecks and troubleshoot operational issues.

3. Quality Assurance

Ensure adherence to quality standards at all stages of production.
Work closely with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and reworks.
Implement SOPs to maintain consistency in quality.

4. Cost & Waste Control

Monitor raw material and fabric usage to reduce waste.
Optimize labor and resource allocation to control costs.
Suggest and implement process improvements to boost productivity.

5. Team Leadership & Training

Manage, train, and motivate production staff to achieve performance targets.
Conduct skill development sessions and enforce discipline.
Evaluate performance and provide regular feedback.

6. Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Prepare for audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
