As a Manager-FCD at HSBC in the Global Finance Centre Delivery team, your role will involve: - Designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end Qlik Sense dashboards and visual analytics solutions. - Translating complex business and regulatory requirements into effective data visualizations. - Collaborating with Business, IT, and Design teams to gather, analyze, and validate data needs. - Building optimized data models and scripts to ensure performance and scalability. - Conducting feasibility analysis for new reporting use cases. - Applying and promoting best practices in Qlik Sense development and data governance. - Ensuring dashboards meet compliance, usability, and performance standards. - Supporting Production defects, FT, and UAT across development cycles. - Supporting change programs by delivering insights that inform key decisions. - Continuously improving existing dashboards based on user feedback and evolving needs. - Providing guidance and mentoring to junior developers or business users. Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong hands-on experience (7-10 yrs) in QS development, including data modeling, scripting, and dashboard design. - Solid understanding of BI concepts, data visualization principles, and performance optimization techniques. - Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into effective visual solutions. - Knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets from various data sources. - Familiarity with Finance domain concepts and regulatory reporting. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and Design. - Experience in agile development methodologies and change management processes. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Exposure to version control tools like Git. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficiency in Excel and commonly used functions. - Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. Additional skills that would be beneficial for this role include: - Experience with NPrinting for report distribution. - Knowledge of Qlik Application Automation or other automation tools. - Understanding of data security and section access implementation. - Experience working with Agile tools like JIRA or Confluence. - Basic understanding of Python or R for data analysis.
