What You'll Do
The primary responsibility of this role is implementation of divisional strategies for Aerospace Engine Solutions & Electrification Products and executes growth plans to achieve divisional goals. The manager builds and executes a clear roadmap for NPI/NTI/Sustaining engineering for EIIC ESE team, and executes big bet projects while promoting continuous improvement and digital transformation.
- Execute and Manage as per the strategic direction provided by ESE division. Align with product strategy. Provides leadership for the team to meet its short and long term goals
- Formulate and execute MGPP and MGTP in partnership with Global ESE Leadership to achieve growth goals.
- Define clear roadmap and execute action items for the next 3-5 years, leveraging the EIIC ecosystem for prototypes and validation to accelerate time to market.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation to improve quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and revenue.
- Participate in new spaces initiatives and enhance contributions from the EIIC and increase the effectiveness of these initiatives by engaging with various Centers of Excellence.
- Build a culture of innovation through planned events and identify opportunities for new differentiating products and services
- Improve Functional excellence and predictable execution on programs Design cycle time reduction, First time right approach
- Collaborate with other Engineering Centers and teams to build an engineering footprint and contribute to global BOC development for ESE.
- Lead and develop a team of 35+ engineers and build organizational capabilities by hiring and developing talent.
- Enhance capabilities in product engineering, including Electrical, Mechanical, firmware, and software, as well as adjacent technology areas from Centers of Excellence.
- Enable synergies for growth by using common CoE platforms to improve time to market and effectiveness.
- Manage department budget and performance to forecast, and utilize DFSS concepts/tools for new product development or existing product improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum education for this position is a Bachelors in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering, preferred is a Masters degreeAt least 10 years of leadership experience in a multinational engineering organization and a total of at least 15+ years in leading an interdisciplinary program and/or team.
Skills
- Should have sound knowledge in Aerospace ESE products
- Strong background in DFSS with GB/BB certification
- Drive growth in respective team in terms of breadth and depth of capabilities in Electrical and mechanical design as well as adjacent technology areas in product engineering.
- Proven track record of demonstrating competencies to manage a large and diverse team .
- Strong leadership potential and be in a succession role.
