Manager Employment Law

You will be working as a Manager in the Office of General Counsel department at PwC. In this role, you will be responsible for offering comprehensive legal solutions and advice to internal stakeholders and clients while ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing legal risks. Your strategic guidance and support will be crucial across various industries. To qualify for this position, you must hold an LLB degree, while having a JD/LLM degree would be advantageous. A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification legal experience is required for this role. Ideally, you should have significant experience at reputable law firms or as in-house counsel, with a preference for experience in the Indian subsidiary of a multinational company or an Indian multinational. Your responsibilities will include having a deep understanding of employment and labor law, including federal and local requirements, as well as familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements related to human capital in professional services in India. You should be adept at handling litigation/arbitration proceedings and working independently to identify risks and propose business solutions while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. In addition, you will be expected to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, including cross-border transactions, and responding to tight deadlines. Building and maintaining relationships with senior members of organizations, collaborating with outside counsel, and monitoring legal and regulatory developments will be integral to your role. Your excellent communication skills, both in conveying complex legal issues to non-lawyers and in handling confidential information with judgment, will be essential. You should also be business-focused, pragmatic, and have a high level of digital acumen to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
