The Role: Manager - Decarbonisation
We are seeking a highly experienced
Manager - Decarbonisation
with 6+ years of relevant experience to lead our strategic client engagements in Bangalore. This leadership role demands a unique combination of technical
R&D
knowledge, engineering consulting expertise, and a proven ability to implement large-scale industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities And Deliverables
- Strategic R&D and Modelling:
- Leading and executing complex research and modelling related to industrial decarbonisation technologies, feasibility, and financial roadmaps.
- Developing proprietary models for marginal abatement cost curves and technology adoption pathways.
- Applying deep technical knowledge gained from experience in the R&D function or Engineering consulting.
- Project Implementation and Expertise:
- Guiding clients through the management and implementation of large-scale capex and operational projects focused on emission reduction (e.g., energy efficiency, electrification, carbon capture).
- Leveraging sector knowledge gained from large steel companies (e.g., Tata Steel, JSW, AMNS) to ensure practical, implementable solutions.
- Client Leadership:
- Serving as the subject matter expert and primary client contact for high-stakes decarbonisation programs.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to thought leadership in industrial sustainability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Domain Mandate: Proven experience in the R&D function or Engineering consulting is essential.
- Project Expertise: Mandatory experience in implementing and managing capex and operational projects in the industrial sector.
- Technical Depth: Adept at research and modelling of complex industrial processes and financial viability.
- Sector Knowledge: Experience with large steel companies is highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
