Job Description

As a Manager - Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence at HSBC, you will have the opportunity to address business problems with quantitative solutions. This includes building predictive algorithms, forecasting, and scenario simulations. You will be responsible for converting business problems into quantitative constructs, utilizing statistical and mathematical methods, engaging with IT for implementation, and interpreting outcomes in a business language. The scope of business problems may span areas such as business growth, customer experience enhancement, risk limitation, capital quantification, and internal business process enhancement. It is essential to embed agile and exploratory practices into your approach, justify the selection of appropriate methods to various reviewers, and stay updated on emerging methodologies for better outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Address business problems with quantitative solutions like building predictive algorithms, forecasting, and scenario simulations - Execute various analyses and develop strategies to support business decisions across the customer lifecycle for a particular product/market - Provide support for analytical/strategy projects and document results for stakeholders - Write efficient codes to process data for business problems and convert them into analytical problems - Identify new opportunities to drive higher business value, diagnose and resolve analytical problems, and provide high-quality analysis and strategy recommendations - Manage delivery timelines and quality standards, drive business benefits through self-initiated projects, learn new skills, and apply them to solve business problems - Adhere to HSBC Core Values and ensure strict compliance with internal controls and relevant financial services laws Qualifications Required: - Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude - Knowledge of financial services/banking operations is preferred - Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, Cloud Technologies, and other analytical tools & platforms - Good understanding of Analytical and Machine Learning concepts like modeling, forecasting, and segmentation - Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are essential In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing operational risks, adhering to internal controls, and implementing the Group compliance policy.
