Job Description

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Excellence & Standardisation

  • Review existing credit processes and identify inefficiencies or inconsistencies.
  • Design and implement streamlined workflows to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
  • Ensure strong controls and documentation practices across credit operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Risk, Collections) to strengthen end-to-end credit processes.

2. Training & Development

  • Plan, design, and conduct regular training sessions for new and existing credit managers.
  • Develop learning modules, assessments, and case-based training material.
  • Improve credit team capability on underwriting standards, policy interpretation, Rapid System usage, and risk identification.
  • Track training effectiveness and ensure consistent knowledge levels across the team.

3. Credit Quality & Portfolio Analysis

  • Conduct detailed analysis of credit reports, trends, delinquency patterns, and portfolio behaviour.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas in underwriting quality and credit decisions.
  • Prepare MIS dashboards and actionable insights for senior management.

4. Stakeholder Management & Support

  • Work closely with regional and branch credit teams to provide guidance on complex cases.
  • Collaborate with product, risk, and audit teams to align credit processes and guidelines.
  • Support management in audits, reviews, and compliance initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of (LAP/BL) credit processes, underwriting norms, and risk.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • 2+ years of credit experience (Underwriting/Policy/Quality/Training).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver structured training programs.
  • Proactive, structured, and process-driven.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Knowledge of credit systems preferred.
