Manager - Corporate Strategy

The ideal candidate should possess an MBA (preferably in Finance or Marketing), a B.E./B.Tech. degree (with a preference for Chemical Engineering), or qualifications as a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst. They should bring with them over 8 years of rich experience, with a minimum of 4 years specifically in a corporate strategy role within the manufacturing or industrial sector. The candidate should demonstrate a strong track record in formulating impactful business strategies, developing financial models, and conducting comprehensive project evaluations. Proficiency in research and analytical skills is essential, with the ability to interpret complex market and industry data, identify emerging opportunities, and present insights through well-structured reports. Additionally, exceptional presentation skills, with expertise in PowerPoint and Excel, coupled with excellent communication abilities, are key attributes for excelling in this role.

Responsible for supporting in planning and developing strategies for different verticals/products, identifying, and evaluating new transformative opportunities and adjacencies to broaden business portfolio and to drive corporate growth. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for assisting in development, planning & execution of Strategy, MCA Advisory, Market intelligence/research, Competitive intelligence, and Commercial Due Diligence of mandates/engagements.

• Undertakemarketstudiesofvariousindustrysegmentstounderstandmarketattractiveness, competitive intensity, key drivers, and long-term demand/supply trends.
• Buildingfinancialmodelsandpreparingbusinessplans/reportsforsupportingbusinesspriorities and strategic objectives in the Chemical, Agri and other related domain.
• Toprovidemarket/competitorinsightstotheManagementtoenableplanning,consideralternativesand anticipatetheimpactofspecificmandateproposal.
• Providing analytical support and conduct industry research, as required. Drive reports and mines/assimilates related data as directed for use in planning strategic partnerships or potential MCA opportunities.
• Understanding and summarizing target companies business model and strategy, industry o Scenario and key risks for Management.
• Engage with the broader industry ecosystem, leverage industry networks and partnerships to identify future growth opportunities.
• To build forecast models using key drivers, trend analysis, economic & external factors, etc.
• Monitoring accuracy and predictive validity of existing models (e.g. relevance of metrics or business drivers included in forecast).
• Working on NPV, IRR, Payback, Cash Runway and Cash Burn, DCF and other financial calculation for analyzing the investment.
• Tracking the status and maintaining performance/operational reports of said engagements.
