Job Description

As a Manager of Business Development & Sales, your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive business growth. You will be responsible for generating and converting leads, managing key accounts, and employing strong negotiation and closing techniques. Your role will also involve conducting market research, analyzing competitors, and preparing proposals and tender submissions. Proficiency in CRM software will be essential for effective management of customer relationships. In addition to your sales and business development skills, you will be required to have a comprehensive understanding of technical product knowledge. This will include in-depth knowledge of essential oils, specialty chemicals, and regulatory frameworks such as FDA and FSSAI. You will also need to be familiar with product formulation, ingredient functionality, and labelling standards. Your role will also require you to have marketing and strategic insight in order to develop go-to-market strategies, collaborate with R&D for new product commercialization, and participate in trade shows and client presentations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in English, will be crucial for successful client engagement. Furthermore, your analytical and organizational skills will be put to the test as you make data-driven decisions, forecast sales, manage budgets, and multitask effectively. You should also have an understanding of regulatory standards such as GMP and ISO, and be adept at handling documentation for QA/QC and technical dossiers. To be considered for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy or Chemistry, with a preference for candidates with knowledge of organic chemistry, formulation science, and pharmacognosy. Industry experience of at least 3-5 years in B2B sales or business development, particularly in essential oils, specialty chemicals, cosmetic ingredients, or food-grade additives, will be advantageous. This is a full-time position based at the Head Office in Nigdi, Pune, Maharashtra, with a requirement for pan-India travel. The salary will be as per industry norms.
