Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Management Information System Executive to join our dynamic team at Colan Infotech's Chennai headquarters. This full-time position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong foundation in data management and analysis. The role demands proficiency in tools and techniques essential for supporting business intelligence and data-driven decision-making processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Mandatory skill) for data organization and analysis, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
• Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and the ability to interpret complex datasets to provide actionable insights.
• Experience with SQL for robust data querying, manipulation, and management essential to supporting business operations.
• Competency in using Tableau for creating interactive and data-rich visual analytics to guide strategic business decisions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI to develop insightful visual reports and dashboards to present data in a business context.
• Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems to streamline processes and improve organizational efficiency.
• Understanding of business intelligence concepts and practices necessary to aid in high-stakes decision-making processes.
• Experience in data visualization techniques to clearly communicate results and trends to stakeholders and executive teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide support in designing, developing, and maintaining data systems and databases; including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Assist in the development and deployment of business intelligence reports and dashboards that aid business decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure data consistency and integrity across the organization.
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify business improvement opportunities and provide strong recommendations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes and assist in the proper maintenance and storage of data.
• Participate in the identification and implementation of new tools and technologies to improve system efficiencies and data processing capabilities.
• Analyze business processes and systems to recommend improvements that increase overall productivity and performance.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure data requirements and objectives are effectively met in support of business strategies.
