Job Description

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality mammographic procedures to assist in the accurate diagnosis of breast health issues

Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations

Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns to ensure a comfortable experience

Accurately document patient information and procedure details in electronic medical records

Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images and discuss findings

Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in mammography technology and techniquesRequired Qualifications

Completion of an accredited program in radiologic technology or related field

Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a specialization in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent

Proven experience as a Mammography Technician or similar role

Strong understanding of mammography procedures and breast anatomy

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members

Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions

Commitment to maintaining patient safety and adhering to healthcare regulationsWorkplace Culture
