Job Description

In this role as a Radiology/Mammography Technologist at Fenway Health, you will report to the Radiology Supervisor and be responsible for performing digital x-ray and mammography examinations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing X-rays and screening mammogram studies as assigned - Greeting each client with a smile and welcoming, professional manner - Ensuring readiness of assigned unit for patient encounters by disinfecting exam rooms daily and stocking them with supplies and equipment - Maintaining equipment in good working order and alerting the Radiology Supervisor of any broken equipment - Effectively communicating with patients and coworkers on the medical team, while abiding by recognized ALARA & HIPAA requirements - Providing clerical support and administrative assistance as directed, including demonstrating competency in alphabetizing, filing, and faxing - Meeting Agency Participatory Expectation by suggesting and participating in continuing quality improvement efforts and adhering to all agency and departmental policies and procedures - Attending required meetings, in-services, professional trainings, and maintaining professional competence necessary to perform job responsibilities Qualifications required for this position include: - Massachusetts RT license, Massachusetts Mammography License, current standing with ARRT, and BLS certification - Associate degree in Radiologic Technology with certification in mammography - Competency in EMR, Microsoft Outlook, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team - Experience working with an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment - Willingness to contribute towards Fenway's efforts in becoming an anti-racist organization and promoting a culture dedicated to ongoing development in service of humility, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of experience, experience with patients with HIV and electronic medical records, as well as interest and experience in LGBT health and commitment to community health. The working conditions and physical requirements for this role include OSHA category 1 classification and physical requirements such as sitting, using hands to manipulate objects/tools/controls, reaching, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The noise level is usually quiet. This is a union position in a Fenway Health bargaining unit represented by 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East. The salary for this position is $40-45 per hour.,
