Maintenance Technician

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment used in the Printing and Packaging industry. Your expertise in troubleshooting mechanical issues, maintaining production efficiency, and adhering to safety protocols will be crucial. - Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of printing and packaging machinery. - Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and enhance efficiency. - Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance procedures. - Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. - Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance. - Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to resolve mechanical issues. - Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. - Adhere to safety, environmental, and operational standards in all maintenance activities. - Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reliability. Qualifications & Skills: - ITI Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance roles within the printing & packaging industry. - Strong knowledge of machine troubleshooting, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance. - Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment. - Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals. - Good problem-solving and analytical skills. - Familiarity with ISO standards and safety regulations. - Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls. In the work environment, you will be exposed to a factory/plant environment with industrial machinery and tools. Your responsibilities will include regular equipment inspections and repair activities, which may involve lifting heavy components and working in confined spaces. You will follow a shift-based work schedule with possible overtime as needed.
