Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing preventive maintenance plans, managing the maintenance budget, and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, scheduling and supervising repair work, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating preventive maintenance programs for the facilitys infrastructure and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the hospitals maintenance department.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Manage a team of maintenance staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all hospital facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, medical gas systems, and general building infrastructure, are functioning safely and efficiently.
• Oversee contractor work and outside service providers.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, track expenditures, and optimize resource usage.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, inspections, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Participate in hospital safety and emergency preparedness planning.
• Coordinate renovation and construction projects with internal departments and external vendors.
• Train and supervise maintenance staff

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role; healthcare or hospital experience is mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with maintenance management, strong knowledge of building systems and equipment.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
