Maintenance Fitter

The Maintenance Fitter is responsible for fitting, assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components and machinery according to specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Measure, mark, and cut metal parts using hand and power tools
• Assemble, fit, and align mechanical parts and assemblies
• Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, filing, and machining work
• Install and maintain machines, tools, and equipment
• Identify faults and carry out repairs and replacements
• Ensure proper lubrication and adjustment of machinery
• Follow workplace safety rules and procedures
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area
• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance

Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of fitting tools and measuring instruments
• Ability to use vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
• Basic welding and fabrication knowledge (preferred)
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Qualifications

• ITI (Fitter) / Diploma in Mech. Engg.
• 1–5 years of experience in industrial/mechanical fitting (preferred)

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
